You hit AD with full force and critically wound him! AD becomes
stunned due to a stupid level 25 class power! AD staggers out of
line of sight and teleports to the other side of the map somewhere!
You start to move to the other side, but pick up 14 corruptions
on the way. You transform into a chaos wretch lawls.

Yeah, failed ultra. I kept a backup file because I am paranoid of
windows slipping in an lolgamecrash on me. Maybe I'll fool around
with stuff with that.

D:50 was cake, killing balors in 3 hits. Only had to kill 4 of em to get
to the gate, was crowned L+. Fairly certain the *only* reason I
died there was because of the crappy level 25 class power.

\Rage. Note that I changed the title after posting, wording was
quite pretentious.

I had the same problem when I did my UNE thief against him just recently. He never teleported away for me though... it's just that he can walk through the walls of the Chaos plane, so it's tricky to stay with him. I managed to lure him close to a bunch of summons so that he couldn't get very far. Otherwise, I'd suggest dumping maybe 30 charges into a wand of monster detection, and the same amount into a wand of teleport. Or use missiles, I guess.

I wouldn't have given the occurence a second thought if it only happened once.
But every single time he became stunned/confused, he would teleport. And
I would have to search for him, constantly getting confused (even with 2 sources
of -conf).

Only getting one wish the entire game really hurt, too.

Oh, if you are curious, I did indeed base my thief off of yours, Jellyslayer ;) saw
the name and instantly got an idea to try to do a similar win. Too bad I died :(

I've met the same problem with my thief.
I had to pursue him, detecting and teleporting.
After spent all charges of monster detection wand, had to switch to missiles due to this feature.

Hmm... I hit him with a PoCC before I started to fight him. I know it disables some of his abilities; maybe he can't teleport after that?

With thieves it's best to paralyze Andy before laying the crits on him - keeps him glued to one place whilst you smack him down.
