Some questions from CK aspiring for OCG

My problems:
1. I need corruption removal for last fight.
2. I need -Para. DF pools dried up, casino didn't have amulet of free action. If nothing else then i guess i'm saving that RoDS for that.
3. Any easy source of experience? Would be great to reach lvl40 before final dive. Greater vault in CoC is undead one, so it is out of question. Unfortunately i also killed EG.

So questions:
Does ministrel give out socr to chaotic CK in exchange for weird tome?
Any tips for clearing bug temple? Especially assault upon descending where you are surrounded by GCB. No spells an no wands.
I have moloch armor. My natural str is 35 (and probably not gonna rise anymore) and i'm reluctant to rely on GoGS to not keep me overburdened. DV loss is mostly irrelevant,as i have no more than 15 DV when berserking anyway, so 1 or 15 is probably about the same. As for dex and speed loss - do GCB and KB corpses increase speed? Can they increase dex beyond potential (it's 15 for me). I don't want to have less then 100 speed. So do you think moloch armor is worth the troubles?
Magical writing sets - i don't care about mana loss, but is writing a scroll dependant on a chance? I would hate wishing for them and then failing writing SocRs.

Oh, and a bit of rant - the one thing i hate the most as CK: bloody ratling traders posing like proper citizens and making me scum for stoma.

Your character is way more than powerful enough to do the bug temple. It's extremely unlikely you'll be surrounded by 8 greater claw bugs.

Fully clearing out the bug temple should get you dexterity in the low 30s and speed near 200, depending on how many you allow to be generated.

With 100 literacy and blessed tools magical writing sets rarely fail.

Getting literacy to 100 is out of question.

Problem is - if i get surrounded i'm in a serious trouble. Unless GCB don't follow to outer level, that, i don't know. I have no TP on demand. Well i hope one of spellbooks of TP will give me emergency TP cast, but that is far from guaranteed.

The bugs always penetrate armour so PV is no help. A single KB can do hundreds of damage on a character with decent DV so I'd be nervous (though I don't have much experience there). I doubt they will increase Dx above potential; IME speed doesn't rise much unless it's not much above 100 to start with but I've not eaten loads of them. Whether it's possible or not should be clear from the top level.

For AoFA, I'd scum big room (combine with morgia training if you go for bug temple). Collect all amulets (also from Casino) and polymorph the biggest piles if that doesn't work. Have you checked Shyxxisysyxisys's lair?

For xp, easy ones with minimal corruption would be shopkeepers (sell artifacts to boost their level); assassin prince, Kherab, water dragon, demented ratling. Minimise speed as usual.

I believe the librarian doesn't give out the tome to chaotic CKs. Writing sets sounds reasonable to get the most out of a wish.

Did you get shafted on your crowning gift (Death's Blade)? I can't see one in your inventory.

Yep crowning gave me two things - death's blade and mana battery as first of 2.5 corruptions. Death's blade was good enough to last for 10 minutes that took me to use it to raid DFC weapon room where i got hateful eternium 2H. Later i fed my crowning gift to ratling.
Casino - robbed. I collected everything that was of interest, angered shopkeeper and ran around waiting for my helm of tp to activate where i ported to up-staircase as it was safer then down staircase where big guard is and i know they can paralaze.
Water cave - not checked yet. Will do. Will probably kill the mommy dragon.
Assassin prince - in plans, i want his dagger to feed the ratling. But iirc neither he nor ratling give any serious xp. Yeah, instead of killing 9 EG to get lvl32, i should've killed 30 more to get higher. But oh well, at least the most important power of resisting corruption is available.
Big room hunting for Aofa - will do as i also need to collect ton of stoma.

Sorry to say, teleportation doesn't work there
iirc it works on surface level. What i mean that is hypothetical situation where get surrounded upon descending i go back to surface and 8 GCB go with me. And sadness occurs.

What are the arts in the undead vault?

With True Aim you can clear most of it. Read the SoFS somewhere on DH:2 to get something good and it will clear liches for you.
You can get karmic wyrms and stuff like this from summons which are worth quite a lot of xp.

No idea about GUV vaults. After i used scroll of monster detection i saw that GUV had layout with a ton of liches and i simply left. It's on D:46 and clearing it will probably take a lot of time. After i collect all orbs and full trinity and bring it to D:48 i'll try it if i have spare corruption points to get.
Come to think of it, it's day 56. I'd better put getting crown of chaos on top of my to-do-list.

clearing Bug Temple is a matter of having at least 32 Wi, over 400 HP and a loaded enough wand of fireballs.

the librarian will give the tome to Chaotic Knights, but I can't guarantee the Ministrel will drop the SoCR for you in the same situation - feel free to test. Corruption shouldn't be that much of an issue since you're level 32 and already heavily corrupted - the speed of new corruptions thus should go DOOOOOOOOOOWN.

but yeah, getting speed over 200 is a surefire way to destroy Andor. Acid blood corruption also screws him over heavily. The one disadvantage to claw bug diet is that you will -have to- repair your Wi with morgia afterwards, so better have a patch, unless you want to be helpless as a kitten against confusion.

just looked at the vlg, 9 DV? nope, bugs are bad idea then. Double shields/shield+weapon and ring of master cat may repair that a bit though

9 DV and mana battery! And no wand of fireballs! All aboard the berserk cow axe train!
If i calcucate it right then speed of me corrupting should be around 75% of normal Ap10 N= character.
Technically as long as i'm not surrounded, with 150+ attack bonus and 120+ damage i should be able to oneshot any bug near me reliably. So really, the only problematic moment is getting out of the first room.
The reason why i don't want to check situation with weird tome myself is because i need to join the guild first, and then spend a lot of time and gold training stealth and climbing to 100.

Crystals of fire? Surround self with weak monsters before descending somehow - SoFS, figurines, wand/spell of monster creation?

Actually, don't think the latter would work as they wouldn't emerge until you'd cleared stairs.

Nah, the problem with clearing the temple is that when you kill a killer bug, the second one can be fast enough to get next to you and start attacking - and with 9 DV you will suffer. A lot.

Not much of a problem of them being too fast. I can achieve variable 120-140 speed and energy for attack is 595-700, so i'm not likely to be attacked by killer bug that is not near me.

Jeez, man, equip a shield at least. Personally with 9 DV and mana battery I would stay clear of that place.

Almost died from hunger. Barely made it. My god destroyed my equipment and the only thick gauntlets that i saw in the game, so i was scumming cursed stom in big room and hoping for thick gauntlets.At least got amulet of free action. After i got 70 stoma, went on the surface and first chaos knight entourage gave me the gauntlets.
Turns out you can't satisfy old crone with wand of monster creation if you have mana battery. So i had to waste scrolls to remove 7 corruptions.
In bug temple 75% of the time spent shooting, 25% splattering bugs with AotME. But got dex to 31 and speed to 155(including corruptions, not including class power). Now i need morgia again. Also my mana is now 1. And i still get the message about it trying to drop, lol. Managed to write 3 SoCRs with my measly literature of 51. 3 charges left on writing set, RoDS is still unspent.
Now it's day 72, medal and crown acquired, will collect some morgia and venture for sceptre.
And now even in moloch armor with rotmc my speed is 140+ with DV/PV 1/97.
Overall i'm predicting success.

My recent GE bard with shields at 11 and pole arms at 12 had 80 DV on berserk, 260 on coward :D
Killer bugs still landed an occasional crit. But with one DV and sub-32 willpower... oh man.
CKs are hilarious, I really wish you all the luck in the world, this is no mean feat that you're pulling off.
Also have you dipped rings in poex yet? Another rods is waiting there, at this point you're bound to have a few stacks of 5-7 rings.
If you still happen to have the moonsickle around, you can generate porc with all the useless potions and then dip them in each other safely on D:1 for poex.
That second wish used on speed against Andor might very well be lifesaving, one could be insufficient.
