Its not so much of a stupid death but more of an overdeath.
Lvl 8 Drakish Mindcrafter going very well. CoC: 1 i get sick fighting a green worm. Fine. My HP stabilizes in the teens and i get lucky and find a aligned altar in CoC: 2. Carefully saccing monsters and praying for healing when needed. Managed to get to lvl 9 (still sick). Pump up healing to 50, and in the very same room I was saccing monsters i fall into a viper pit (i managed to not walk on that specific square from lvl 8 to 9). Fend off the snakes and now poisoned and sick my PC slowly dies in horrible agonizing pain.
So much for a humble adventurer that was just following the advice of a simple village elder.
