Finally after A LOT of attempts I menaged to get my first victory, with a ravenborn DE Archer (wall of text incoming).

Lallo struggled a bit in the beginning, using mostly slings&rocks with a sling to survive till the CoC...
After the first quests (blanket, Kranach, carpenter, little girl) he went for CoC and did dwarven quests, Griffyard and Pyramid without big problems. Also in some (orc?gnoll?) vault he could find a nice steel amulet for a certain old man...
What made the victory possible was the allmighty Rune Covered Trident, which he got thanks to a blessed ring of the fish + astral plane corruption + ring of teleportation control (no blink dog corpses till much later, of course). Another huge help was the adamantium sword of penetration, his main melee weapon for much of the game.
After getting the water orb and getting to the wall of flame he decided to go to get the platinum ring... only to find out he did not have any wand of cold... it was a nice trip anyway as a convenient altar was used to become a champion of law, crowned with fire immunity and the Boots of the Divine Messenger... actually a very good gift, as the trident covered the damage output, and blink dogs corpses were still not available.
After that Ice Queen quest (with a GUV, from which I ran away as fast as I could), RotHK and tower... I was impressed by the trident against the wyrm... then a small trip to DF which I left away after a little disagreement with the artificier (and my astral plane corruption, otherwise very useful, could have been a problem...). Then in the CoC I found a GGV where I found my other long range damage dealer, True Aim. After that things were quite easy, the only problem was the mana temple, in which, after losing my humanoid slayers and the amulet of light to some rock trap, the archmage teleported at my back when I was dealing with some annihilator. I lost some stats but it was mostly ok. Then the final dive, and level 50, where True Aim and the Trident made things easy.
After winning I cleared a couple of red dragon vaults I left when descending and settled my disagreement with Keerab or whattsisname, and cleansed the corruption with the unicorns' quest.

I have to admit it was a very lucky game: lots of corruption removal, which was not really needed (I mostly got useful corruptions, and could remove the nasty ones), and good drops. I also had a spare wish, which I kept in case I lost my short bow of accuracy, my only (!) bow for most of the game...

And now for the next game I think I will try explore other locations, as the bug temple, the minotaur maze and the blue dragons cave... I was lucky this game, but did not feel sure enough to gamble with these nasty places...
