I have to say, this was a ton of fun, it took me maybe 15 guys before i got it right, my character before this one was critically hit by a great red wyrm and died on FGJC5, and i even got the chance to take on a greater fire vault with this guy!

the early game was somewhat challenging, no decent armor off the bat, nor very decent stats, 12,20,9,14,15,12,9,13,12 with my potentials being 16,28,15,20,22,14,13,39,20. but i continued on anyways, the underdog sometimes get good luck in my experience. started in smc->pc->DD->UD->CoC->pyramid. normally i like to go to the pyramid right at lvl 13, but i was still lvl 12 after leaving the HMV. anyways, while doing the dwarf quests, i found a ring of djinni summoning in the living forest, which i promptly used to get red dragon scale. after gathering a few artifacts, i used the gold to crown, got ironfist-- best item i couldve asked for! so now well equipped, i wiped out the pyramid with my bloody fists, then i went to graveyard and pickpocketed extensively while shadow boxing, got a ring of damage and ring of ice, so i wiped out darkforge. got some levels from that, but armor was crap. oh well, lvl 18, time for ice queen.

FGJC5 was fire vault, i managed to clear the perimiter, but i knew i wasnt strong enough for the wyrms, so i did quests, left and got the RotHK, conquered dungeons r1-5 then bug temple. temple was a pushover as usual, got magic mapping scrolls, went down to water temple for orb, but saved khelly on the way (found AoLS in r3 i believe) went back out and took out the maze, not much trouble, i knew teleport, and charged some wands. had 10 scrolls of magic mapping, needed them all, but only had to explore 1 level the hard way. emperor fell to my fists, mages couldnt confuse me due to high willpower and humanoid slaying ammo. emperor got me 3 str 3 To and 6 Pe, used herbs to get back will. found 1 potion of str, 3 cure corruption, 1 spellbook of knock, skullcrusher, and of course the axe. after that it was a pretty easy.

took out the fire temple, not worth mentioning really, chaos wyrm died from my fists, went back and finished the vault, it got me to lvl 34, and 3 crappy artifacts oh well! plenty of stat potions and spellbooks though because i slayed with care. Started my dive, temples were easy. found a GUV in D45 i think, not sure, but i tackled it, had gotten the decaying body corruption, so my willpower of 30 with the orb and corruption was 50, so i charged wand of fireballs and laid waste to the vault. first stat loss of the game! lost 1 Ap got careless with a master lich. found more crappy weapons, but got natures companion, switched out from my red dragon scale.

end game wasnt very exciting, didnt find more wishes, so no wand of destruction, so i killed everything on the level with my fists and closed the gate.

How about class powers, does barehand fighting disable them?

This makes me want to try a barehand melee necromancer.. if even a duelist can do it, why not.

You actually get to keep all your class powers, It's what makes it do-able in my opinion.
