After rolling some random class/race characters and having them die in early game I managed to roll a female gnome beastfighter who actually survived to win the game.

Found decent armour in early game (not great but enough to survive).

Got crowned with boots of the divine messenger and acid immunity.

Found "True Aim" while clearing out the outer parts of a greater fire vault in FGJC. Also got amulet of life saving from FGJC. I later came back and cleared the rest of the vault and got Celestrix, which I then never used for the rest of the game because of the intrinsic dooming.

"True Aim" OTOH was amazing allowing me to easily kill enemies in ranged that would have been dangerous to fight in melee.

The blue dragon scale mail was from the casino gift shop.

In CoC I found a greater giant vault which had "Far Slayer" (too bad it wasn't the artifact bow instead).

Artifact from potion of uselessness was staff of the archmagi (completely useless for this character).

Used a wand of destruction and teleport spell to make quick work of D:50.

Also got a RODS at one point in the game and used the wish on potions of strength.

In comparison to my first win this one was quite easy and had very few if any scary points. I skipped the minotaur maze as the axe was useless for this character and as far as I understand the other rewards have been nerfed quite hard, not to mention that the place is a real pain in the ass to get through without magic mapping.

Some corruptions I got and didn't immediately cure were very light, acid blood (very useful), bronze bones and extra eyes.

Corruptions I got a few times and cured immediately were poison hands and stiff muscles.

Never had any lack of corruption removal in this game so in fact I never went to retrieve the scroll of corruption removal in HMV despite that it would have been pretty easy to do.

Also I never got intrinsic teleport control because while I did manage to kill a blink dog in PC and it dropped a corpse I had somehow missed that I was bloated at the time (from eating a piece of raw meat earlier) so all I could do was watch the corpse rot away as I had no holy water or any way of cooking the corpse.

Acid blood is hands-down my favorite corruption. If there's a downside I have yet to find it. I'm surprised you didn't keep poison hands, though. A beastfighter is the one class I'd really want that one on.

I guess if you have a decent amount of thick gauntlets collected and you remember to put them on whenever handling food and potions it's not too bad, but personally I'm afraid I will forget and ruin all of my good potions.

BTW I just recently got poison hands on a dwarven beastfighter who just needs to get the mana orb before she can go to D:50 and close the gate. She hadn't found any thick gauntlets up to this point and her only corruption removal was potions of cure corruption from the druid/ice queen. Luckily there was a greater fire vault on the same level, which produced two pairs of thick gauntlets that she promptly put on and drank a potion of cure corruption.
