well it seems my diety is ...
crowned with lightning immunity and hammer of the gods.

Now as a farmer I can carry it with me/use AND wield BigPunch as well w/o weight issues.
I would assume it's a novelty or is it worth to grind some thrown hammer?
The -6 to hit and just 3d10 is somewhat of a bummer.

The DV hit not using a shield for a character with mediocre dex and no dodge is ghastly so using it as 2h is currently not an option.

Not sure, but wasn't hammer of the gods supposed to have been made to use 2h skill?

There is 1 advantage to using thrown hammer of the gods, and that is that the ranged skill will use the better of the 2 skills, clubs and hammers or thrown axes/hammers.

Hammer of the Gods is one of the weaker returning artifact missiles, but it's still good. More base damage than normal bow and arrow, and more practical to bless than destructible ammunition.

It still counts as a club/hammer, sadly (http://www.adom.de/forums/project.php?issueid=4574).

Yes I noticed when I tested that it used hammer skill and not 2h, it went straight to barb glade stash.

On a side note, this was maybe my first game where I skipped treasure hunting.
Works but it really starves me on water and booze.
Otoh it really helped grabbing those defensive pv talents early on.
