Massive Perception Penalty?

So I'm in earlygame with a Dark Elven Druid, and I just cleared UD. at some point between UD and leaving the HMV shop, I incurred a -8 PE penalty, and I have no idea how. I haven't eaten any suspicious corpses, and I've taken off all my equipment, which did nothing. Anyone have any idea what it could be? I can share my character file if someone instructs me how. Much appreciated

I entered PC and now the penalty's gone. Really weird

Darkelves, orcs and troll suffers perception penalties in daylight.
It rarely matters, mostly a risk in dwarven graveyard.
Go underground and you'll see it goes away.

This is a relatively new addition, one of the prereleases introduced it, I believe.
