I played for more than 10 years without touching d50, but a week ago managed to achieve absolutely casual victory with a very first Mist elf / Priest / Heir combination.
Only real issues I stumbled on were accidentally angering Casino shop guys and poison hands corruption w/o thick gauntlets. Oh, and also "Your skin is destroyed by the touch of impure metal." spam accompanied with teleportisis transformed the process of reading books into a funny minigame, where you have to press space until it is time to teleport, then space again, then y, then repeat.
I relied heavily on my mace during early game, Rolf's Companion / Saviour combination in mid game and my crowning gift "Skull Crusher" in late game, while maintaining axe as a range weapon, cause I literally encountered only around 4 to 5 bows and crossbows in the whole game (and they got burned like in 20 minutes every time I equipped them).
Also I spent my two wishes on rings of ice and spellbooks of Rain of Sorrow (nearly wasted wish for Acid Ball), which I used to kill most bosses (and then I ate them. All of them).
I spent Immune to Pain talent on the Ironfist (until the poison hands attacked).
What can I say about this run in general? It felt casual, but I still was extremely concentrated from the entering of SMC to the final blow on Riurry. As you can see (or not if I managed to remove all non-important staff), I did not even bothered to sort my inventory, replace thick gauntlets with Ironfist, drink some potions for score etc.
