After many attempts, finally I succeeded to win the game with an Orcish wizard. While his predecessors were dying tragically (one even on D:50), this one's quest was just a walk. The only mistake made was experimenting with "Moon Sickle" just after acquiring it. Trying to transform brass bracers caused their explosion and five corruptions as a result. While I had only anti corruption scroll from HMV and Mystic did not give me any, I decided to visit the library. After leaving it I was really a spell machine. First time in history I've cleaned Tower of Flames at first. All guardians were dispatched very easily. Most surprising was the battle in Mana Temple, that I consider the hardest place in the game. When I reached the entry to the inner chamber, I realized that I didn't set to proper item set (AMW, amulet of light and ring of clear mind). So I went back to the upper corridor, put it on, and just after that met Varn just behind the corner. So many times I was struggling very long to lure him out of his room, this time he behaved weirdly. So I blasted him quickly with acid balls (after reading blessed scroll of power, and also some of hp). D:50 was a piece of cake - quick and easy wand of destruction ending. I used remaining ?oCR before leaving, and even one was left in my backpack. First time I did not acquire courage skill and also quite few altars were generated. Using alchemy, I mixed 8 potions of longevity and drank all of them blessed, so that orc probably had quite an extended lifespan (though luckily no ghost managed to hit me). congratulations! Just one question: why didn't you use those scrolls of defense/protection on your equip?
And extra question: rdy for ultra?

I see one scroll of defense in my backpack - probably I found it in late game, and didn't want to spend holy water on it (I had few of it and altars were far away).
Yes, if only I will find AOLS before meeting Khelk I will try to go for ultra.
