Falied UNE:
Fallen champions can't receive the TOTRR from khelly.

After defeating all the temples, finishing the blue dragon caves, killing the ancient karmic wyrm and killing the elemental grues I left the CoC at experience level 41 +/-. I still needed some exp so I decided to kill the water dragon for exp (and for more safe gremlin bombing later).

Killing the water dragon got me from N= to NC. I did a few things to make my alignment better. Then I realized I hadn't talked to blup yet, and that quest gives a nice L boost. 'C'hatting with blup resulted in the message 'ye art a mommy killer' and an alignment drop from N- to C. I became a fallen champion, got struck by a bolt of energy witch I was immune to, and monsters where summoned.

Game progression:

The early game was made easier by the acid spit ability and food preservation of the drakeling. At the start thiefs don't have any magic attacks or archery skills. I also relied heavily on the ability to lock doors with the thieve picks (both as a way to role play and to control enemies). I got very annoyed after putting on gauntlets of peace. This made it very hard to hit anything in melee or with my arrows. I had to scum the ID for a scroll of uncursing.

The midgame was made easy by running a gremlin bomb. I had a wand of teleportation, a crystal of darkness, a ring of the fish, and *one* potion of holy water to bless that ring after putting it on. Note that gremlins see in the dark and that I had no source of invisibility. On coward mode they bare did any damage but they did get a few hits in. After finding a knife of endurance and putting it in my missile slot the regeneration solved the damage problem. After pickpocketing a ring of invisibility it was smooth sailing. My first wish was for herbalism, that was used to get more stoma herbs.

The endgame was very easy. I fed the ratling and did the quests for the medal of chaos. I got crowned with acid immunity and the silver arrow. I did the fire temple and the high king. Then did all the other temples, saved khelly and did the blue dragon caves. I ascended for more gremlin pickpocketing and getting the crown of chaos at day 90.

I have to say these are very disappointing. At the very least thieves should be able to get Brannalbin's Cloak of Defense for the +inv bonus since they are very stealthy.

Class powers:

Level 6 automatical search
This ability together with the find traps skill gives a good increased chance to avoid traps.

Level 12 bonus to Backstabbing
Not bad. Allows you to 1-hit kill weak monsters while invisible.

level 18 pilfer shops ability
This is very annoying. When you try pile all the things in a shop then you get an annoying message asking you if you want to steal the item every time you want to pick something up. I tried this in the casino resulting in an angry casino shopkeeper. Money really isn't an issue in this game. This skill *might* be usefull if it had a 100% success rate.

level 25 stun opponent on critical hit
I found this not very useful. For strong opponents there are better guaranteed ways of disabling, and for weak monsters there is no use for this skill. It also only works on humanoids.

level 32 better items pickpocketed
I was very curious about this skill. This is the main reason why I played a thief for this 'gremlin bomb game'.

The results of a pickpocketing session where interesting:
* Almost no more potions of water where pickpocketed (!) get your water before level 32 lol.
* Allot more potions of gain attributes (about 80 for me)
* more amulets of life saving (about 15)
* More rings of djinni summoning and wands of wishing (about 20 rings and 10 wands)
* Allot more slaying ammo (piles of 50+ arrows of -foo- slaying)
* Eternium arrows and ignots (about 100 of each)
* Possible more artifact and better chance for elven mail

Artifacts pickpocketed:
* BoW
* Preserver
* Whirlwind
* Ring of immunity
* Soaker
(Any artifact 10 stones or less can be pickpocketed, that means Ironfist can also be found this way)

Level 40 +20 Speed
Good. Could be a level 50 skill (see suggestions below).

Level 50 invisibility when adjacent to a wall
Getting this at level 50 is really silly. This might be good for a fast normal win game, but in a more elaborate game (or pickpocketing) invisibility is no longer hard to come by at level 50.

Class suggestions
Since thieves can rely on the pick locks ability in the early game, it would be nice to also give them the ability to avoid door traps. Something along the lines of 'your excellent skill in picking locks now allows you to automatically detect and disable any door traps'. This is not overpowered, but useful to stay alive in the early game and it really fits the class.

Another suggestion is to give the ability to be invisible earlier in the game, and possible change it to 'your incredible stealth allows you to sneak invisibly whenever you are not adjacent to any monsters. This would allow sneaky tactics while still making you visible whenever you stand next to a monster (like the arena guard).

holy crap...you train every weapon! you sir, are one very very patient man.

I wish lol :D. I used my many wishes for 'better marks'. This was actually quite interesting. Once the skills are above ~10 you sometimes get no increase when wishing. At level 12 it takes many wishes to get an increase. After spending some 30 wishes I still didn't have grand mastery in any weapon skill >_>.

The problem with the PoGA was that I could not bless them. The fact that some stats are not at 99 is because of the random stat increase when drinking an uncursed PoGA (I got +str even when str is at 99). Since my stats where pretty amazing I did not feel the need to pickpocket more potions.

I actually tried that once but a wish for potions gives 3-4? potions of water. To get the potions I needed I would have spend more than 10 out of my 40? wishes for water. I never did the wishing for 'better marks' before, so I wanted to try that rather than getting 99 in every stat. I spend about 25 wishes on that. I could have done the gremlin bomb a bit longer for more wishes but whats the point :P. Having toughness at 99 is the most important in order not to die.

I now realize that I should have use a cursed + blessed scroll of repair on the PoGA. LOL I actually had several of those ;P. Oh well it doesn't really matter ^_^.

There is no way to tell really, but it must be in the thousands (lets say very roughly estimated 20.000 turns of pickpocketing, with a certain percentage unsuccessful so anywhere around 12.000 gremlins? Probably allot more.). They keep drowning in the water so they are constantly replaced.
