This was my second win so far.
Rockthrower was a hurthling archer who used only thrown rocks, altars and traps against enemies. He didn't even use wands or thrown potions to hurt/disable enemies, and he didn't throw anything but rocks during the game. Also, no wishes were generated during the game.

I spent quite many turns in game just to dig more rocks to throw, as those large stacks of rocks tend to disappear quickly when using thrown rocks as the only offensive method. I did never ran completely out of rocks, but some times in early game i had only about 10-20 rocks left and no pick axe.
Early during the game before getting my first pick axe, tension rooms with collapsing doorways and ants were my best and almost only source of new rocks. After getting pick axe, amount of rocks was not a problem anymore, even though the pick axes usually broke down after digging a couple of walls (that explains why most of my pick axes are broken in flg).

There weren't any bigger problems during the game. Two greater vaults were generated, but I didn't bother clearing them (both were undead vaults...). In other greater vault level, there was also big ogre emperor room and a mimic room. Those ogre emperors gave me +4 strength :)

D:50 was no problem, as most of the enemies didn't even manage to hit me at all. Balors were easily killed throwing about 5-20 blessed rocks to each.

Maybe I should try a normal ending without restrictions next (My first win was ULE with gray elven archer)...

Hehe, did you find hammerhead? It should have been helpful.

No I didn't, but it seems that it was generated during the game. I think it was in one of those undead greater vaults I didn't bother clearing. A wand of earthquakes would have also been useful, even more useful than hammerhead when talking about getting more rocks to throw... but I didn't find one of those either.

I've never found greater undead vaults, they seems scary. I am so dissapointed that you didn't name your character Rocky Balboa.
