Odd. I could have sworn that rings couldn't be destroyed until your gloves were gone.

Now that is scary! The freaking Tower of Eternal Flames can't destroy your rings, but an ettin can? I almost never see anything but armor damaged, and rarely ANYTHING destroyed.

It's true for fire damage (and logical), but apparently enemies can hit your ring under the gauntlets (For gloves this would be logical, but for gauntlets?).

The ettin was obviously using some sort of phasing attack.
It passed the guantlets, and was about to take off your
finger. That's when it's magic was disrupted by the mighty
ring of TP control. It just couldn't phase through something
that had that kind of mastery over phasing. In the end, the
collision of forces destroyed both. Yeah, that's it.

Now I'm even more angry that the ettin didn't drop his heavy club of phasing...
