Just wondering, if you were to eat a Red Dragon (or drake) corpse to gain fire resist lvl 3 (stomach burning in bright flames) does your resist then drop if you were to eat a fire lizard corpse afterwards(this stuff cools you down)?

You can only lose it with pools, as far as I know. And since when are there different levels of fire resistance?

(Wrong forum, by the way)

There are no levels of fire resistance. The number of different fire resistance sources count. There was a time when the guidebook also stated that you need to gain three "fire resistance levels" in order to endure the heat in the tower.

It was four sources of fire resistance, with the intrinsic counting as two.

At least that's what the guidebook says.

I think Nezur hit the button on the way back machine : ) Back when the GB
talked me into eating harpy corpses, and playing strange games with the
ghost librarian : ) I think I even have a zipped copy on a CD, of some of
those old versions of the guidebook. I may search for it, and have look through
them to see some of the funny stuff in there.

If memory serves, it used to say that eating a fire beetle gives level 1 -fire,
a fire lizard gives level 2, and a drake/dragon gives level 3. I think it also did
say that eating a level 1 or 2 monster, after eating a level 3 monster, would
reduce your resistance.

I still feel the urge to put a harpy corpse in a safe place for later use if it gets dropped. :)
