I think it would be kind of nice if JADE incorporated a way for player/fan-base to mike tiles for the graphics. Kind of like the many flavors of nethack.

Tell me what you guys think.

As an option, fine, since it may draw others in, and some of the tiles other roguelikes have these days are actually fairly nice. In general I'll stick with the old ASCII myself though, especially since ADOM has the best looking ASCII of any roguelike I've seen in my opinion (don't ask me how - just the way TB selects his colours I guess).

Not using lines for walls and having only one kind of floor square is also a huge bonus compared to Nethack.

As for tilesets, if support is possible already, okay. I'd rather not have the Creator rewrite something from scratch to accomodate this.

This post (http://www.adom.de/forums/showthread.php?p=828#post828) seems to imply that it will be possible to replace ASCII characters with tiles.

Elona is surprisingly very well done in the area of tilesets

It looks like an old school SNES rpg like Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy 6 only its a roguelike.

and if you're confused, some of the website is in japanese. This is a japanese roguelike that has recently had a translation to english. its not 100% but its pretty close i'd say 97%. The difficulty factor is a huge WOW though.
