Listening:

It would be nice if listening we're made more useful in JADE then it is in ADOM. What Id like to see is instead of just "You hear -foo-" that there be a skill check based on your listening skill, distance to the sound, and maybe other factors could be like walls and stuff so that if you succeed you can get more like:

"You hear -foo- to the west"
"You hear -foo- -some distance- to the west"
(-some distance- could be - close by, several steps, or a long way off)
"You hear -foo- on the other side of the west -barrier-"
(-barrier- being wall, door, etc)

This could make listening important and useful in finding things like royal treasuries, detached shops, etc.



Pets:

It would be nice to either add an additional command when ordering a pet OR modify the move command such that if you have a pet that is able to destroy walls (ants, raccoons, etc) you could order them to move to that wall spot and crush it for you.

This is something that I agree would be nice in JADE. Some of the features you've listed - most notably things like listening at doors - are already possible using a stethoscope. Perhaps in JADE one could just use the stethoscope at doors to amplify their level of listening and hence the accuracy with which they can define sounds. Note that if you want to be realistic (as ADOM, in its cool little way always seems to do), if you had 0 Listening (or if you were completely deaf) the stethoscope would not help at all apart from allowing you to detect vibrations. Also, perhaps if you had poor listening your hearing skills could occasionally throw "false alarms" as they are so prone to do in real life :D.
