Just got to the water temple and there was a river running straight through it left to right. I've ever seen this in any of the temples before so kind of assumed it was impossible.

Is the water temple an exception or can other temples have rivers?

I've seen rivers in the water temple as well. But never a horizontal one. Never seen in any other temple thou.

I also though it was impossible for anything to mess up the temple's layout. You mean, the river actually occupied squares that would have been solid land squares otherwise (in the left portion of the map, of course)?

And a funny note... it would be quite amusing to have a river in the temple of fire..=P. despite being a tower... there would be not much liquid water i assume =P

That's a pretty weird river.

Yeah the line above the river is where i dug through anyway. The large rectangular room with the broken up river squares was a tension room of hill giants.

wow... it actually "invaded" the temple itself. that's interesting, it shows that the temples aren't as hard coded as I thought they were... even some of the walls aren't guaranteed to always be there, probably just the altar, traps and inner-inner chamber are. Very interesting.

do not recall any non water temple having rivers.

Me neither. Had a horizontal one in the water temple a few times though. I guess rivers of lava in a tower, even one of eternal flames, would be a bit over the top.

A river of raw mana sounds like fun though :-D

having a moat like the water temple depending on the temple would be interesting. You dive into the crackling stream of mana. You are singed by the searing energy! or if mana > 20, you dive into the crackling stream of mana. You resist the crackling energy.
