I'll just make a separate topic.

Here's the v0.09 (http://www.sendspace.com/folder/tpu1pq)

It's still in python and still is buggy.

Here's the first release with magic, which is only presented by two spells (easiest to implement), still no spellcasting monsters, so no Epythics for now, but they'll be in 0.1 for sure. All monsters without specific essence (i.e. spell not yet implemented) will drop basic item: soulsphere, which makes 'Soul devour' stub spell - a simple healing.

Currently I'm in need of someone who can fix various grammar and spelling errors through all the game text, anyone?:(

I made it to the big room! I was mercilessly slaughtered by
a 'very experienced orc lord' on D:41.

Is a creepwood spear good? That's what I was wielding when
I died, but I didn't get to try it long enough to see for myself.

edit:
The font is too small for me, but I just opened an
image editor, and resized the file Vintl01.png by
130 x 160 so that it's dimensions were 208x410. It
had a bit of artifacting, but looked a lot better
to me.

Creepwood is a creepy wood :)

it does not have an overwhelming damage modifier, but is very good at criticals. Also fragile.

For fonts, try this place:

you'll just need to change purple into black. Here you can find anything from this small (http://dwarffortresswiki.net/images/3/37/Zaratustra_custom_4x6.png) to this big (http://dwarffortresswiki.net/images/e/e1/Oreslam_1920x1200_20x20.png)
