After winning with a wizard, I started playing monks for their good skillset and special abilities. After the death of some gnomes, this drakish one survived the UD run.
Extra achievements:
* almost all bosses were killed in meele (exceptions: ACW - was moderately wounded from my frost bolts when he came into meele range, AKW - I forgot my 400 MM castings, was killed with wands of MM/poison and in meele (200000 gold removed the dooming on a nearby altar), Filk - 1 zap from a wand of fireballs)
* killed in meele without disabling: mummy lord, snake from the beyond, Master Summoner, Srraxxarrakex, greater black unicorn, assassin prince, emperor moloch (I killed him with the twin daggers: base damage per dagger: 130 (~70 St), *1,5 blessed vs. demon = not enough, *2 on criticals (100 find weakness, RotMC) = 190 damage through the 200 pv, attack energy cost=1060, movement cost=375, speed=160 => hit-and-run tactics), Kherab, balors&greater balor, Andor Drakon
* no big room pacifying, no poolsipping, no gravedigging except Griff's grave, no gremlin bombing, no gambling, no smithing (I got the skill from a SoE, but never used it)
* no wish, no greater vault
* I cleared all the elemental temples+darkforge+D50
* I killed the water dragon at level 21
* I did the gremlin cave without a light source
* I won before day 90
Even without wishes, this was a lucky game, I found lots of rare/good items: 2 AoLS in the big room (first one was given to Khelevaster, second was destroyed by an ancient black dragon under the casino), 5 SLBs (first in the big room, two maybe between dwarftown and the wall of flames, 1 in the casino, 1 maybe in the BDC; one was destroyed by the breath which also destroyed the AoLS, one was destroyed in the BDC, one was left somewhere in the upper CoC), 2 GoGS (first in the ToEF, second in the casino, the first was destroyed by a ceiling trap in the earth temple), 2 random scrolls of danger (+1 in the black market), giant slug corpse (upper darkforge), great water dragon corpse, I was precrowned with the emerland dagger (my main weapon), found executor in the casino and Protector in the BDC (it was useless at that point of game, after finding it I almost only used the twin daggers/trident of the Red Rooster).
With some magical writing sets (and the monk special ability) the Khelevaster SoCR's and the HMV SoCR was enough (I forgot to chat with the ghost librarian, I didn't do the BUGVIL, although in the endgame I had 155+ DV on coward, and even with removing corruption before killing Andor Drakon I had 2 SoCR's in my pack).
Around level 20 I had decent magical abilities (Le boostable to 40, I got 900 castings from Khelevaster's Teleport book), and I planned to wish for spellbooks of Acid Ball, but later I was able to kill everything in meele, and the apish corruption lowered my Le to 12. Later it was boosted again by the PoGA's+Le potions+boost potions before the last battle, but I only used magic in the ToEF (Frost bolt to quickly clear a large tension room of dragons), to teleport and to carry my heap of garbage with SoA. I almost never used missles (the only notable exception is the oracle).
I made lots of mistakes (a berserker lord brought me down to 1 HP in the pyramid because I didn't watch my HP's, I almost died when the skeletal king cornered me in his room in the TotHK, and I left my healing equipment on the shore, I forgot to chat with the ghost librarian, angered Waldenbrook and the casino shopkeeper with my unholy aura, forgot my Magic Missle spell against the AKW and forgot to invis him/slow myself, forgot to remove the medal of Chaos and equip the amulet of free action against Andor Drakon -- I was on berserk, after ~10 attacks, he paralysed me and I lost ~300 hp, then I quickly equipped the amulet), but this character was powerful enough to survive them.
I was crowned only after killing the AKW with the boots of the divine messenger, but even after this I preferred my SLB's -- SLB+class power=375 energy/movement, so I can outrun everything with my ~160 base speed except some quicklings.
