With Adom, the way Attributes (and maybe skills?) get trained is that certain actions increase a magic number, which is periodically checked against a random roll.
What I would like to ask is why training was designed this way, and what mechanical and design advantages it has compared with other methods of usage-based training mechanics (such as an XP-based system like with Skyrim and other TES games)?
