ADOM Steam 3.2.2 Cannot remove Chain mail of the martyred crusader as Mist Elf

Subj, I cant remove it. Tried to restart, but it didn't work. Once the cooldown is up, I`m back at inventory screen. Backup file is before Great Red vault so I would prefer to not use it.

If you can make it to the wilderness map you'll be able to remove it there, since unequipping body armor only takes one turn there.
