Did not play ADOM seriously since 1.1.1, decided to give it a try with 3.3.3.
Took the new duelist class... which turned to be crazily strong in late game =)
I had serious problems at the beginning, and was afraid I won't survive Rehetep.
Partly that was because I was burdened and did not realize that my class powers didn't work.
Anyway, I got crowned hoping for a good artifact, and received the Trusted One.
Which was damn good in turns of defense!
Used it for a long time, training whips and daggers "just in case".
Then found whip of slaughtering and started using it, falling back to Trusted One only in hard situations.
With amulet of free action, I stopped using Trusted One at all, since whip of slaughtering was much "faster".
Late in game switched to whip of the vampire snake.
It was hilarious to run around blue dragon cases with 166 speed and doing three hits per turn =)
Received black whip of extinction thanks to "uselessness" and switched to it for the last level.
To be honest, all three whips are so great that it's hard to choose between them =)
I must admit that amount of loot has been greatly increased since 1.1.1.
I have cleared 3 great vaults with red dragons (one in FGJC) and 1 great vault with giants.
There was so much loot that I was lazy to even look through it!
The log says that 50 artifacts were generated, but I don't remember many of them.
Silver key and scroll of finder --- picked up but did not notice them as artifacts,
I did not see the following artifacts at all:
- the mighty morning star "Grod"
- the small black shield "Lust for Glory"
- the fine leather armor "Nature's Companion" --- would probably wear this one
- the staff of the archmagi
- the thorny whip "Bloody Rose"
- the glowing green cloak "Venom Mantle" --- would be happy to wear this one
- the wicked spear "Scorpion's Sting"
- the bracers of pure might
I collected all loot in the first two great vaults, but got seriously tired of it and only picked up what looked interesting in the other two great vaults.
I wish the artifacts in the log were sorted in the order they were generated during gameplay, so that I could at least guess when I missed them...
P.S. The best moment in the whole game was finding book of "Strength of Atlas" and managing to learn it. =)
