Dragon Gold Doubling
Dragons are able to replicate gold

If a dragon of any type (not sure about Wyrms or drakes, but all baby, normal, and ancient for sure) picks up a pile of gold, when the dragon is slain, they will drop twice as much gold as they picked up. This can be exploited to exponentially increase one's gold.

Could we finally hear Creator's word if that isn't really a feature?

Even if it's a feature, I think it should be removed. Too easy way to obtain insane amount of gold.

Dragons don't drop their gold twice any more.

Oh, so it was a bug. I've always thought it was an intended feature. Anyway, goodbye entering a dragon tension room with 20000gp and leaving it with 2 billion... :)

Hello to watching 2 movies or going for a walk while something heavy is pressing space and PC is in the casino.
Dunno bout you but I'm always carrying gold I practicaly never use in mid-late game. However, I must admit spending few dragon-raised billions on training now and then :P

Spending a few hundred million gp in Garth's hall is awesome. When the training kicks in afterwards, it's almost like drinking a bunch of blessed PoGAs.

I never thought it was a feature, it didn't make much sense and looked too much like a pointer bug (two pointers pointing to gold and both being traversed by a drop routine or something like that). I never exploited this but I'm glad it's gone at last.

I don't like casino scumming either but at least that can only be done in the endgame.

If I recall correctly, dragons are an omen of good fortune in Chinese culture. This quirky behavior could have been a nod at that. Also, a player that doesn't know about the bug wouldn't feel a particular compulsion to drop all their gold and lure dragons into picking it up, which can result in destruction via fire or acid attacks.

But well, it's fixed now :)
