Gauntlets (10s) do not deal damage to mist elves
10s auntlets do not do damage to mist elves.
10s gauntlets are rustable, and thus made of iron. However, I've been wearing them for a while with no ill effect (w/ two rings). I also took my rings off and walked around a little bit and didn't notice any damage.

also applies to elemental gauntlets, which are supposed to be made of iron.

Dragon gauntlets are, at least, covered with dragon hide.

IRL gauntlets are leather gloves with iron plates on the outside.
