"Eyes of the Mind" doesn't work with graphical version
The mindcrafter level 18 power "Eyes of the Mind" doesn't function properly with NotEye

Basically, if you use "Eyes of the Mind" it shows you the whole map with "you sense the presence of x monsters" and the positions of all said monsters on map.

Except, if you're in the graphical version, you can't look around the map when it happens. (because the message buffer is full?) So you can't actually see those monsters. At best, you can only see them on the minimap.

My suggested fix:

Make the minimap go fullscreen when a player uses Eyes of the Mind. (i.e, switch to ASCII mode) If the player is already in ASCII mode, obviously do nothing. Then switch back when the player clears message buffer.

This post is just to assist you in your current game. I think NotEye settings can be changed at any time, so you should be able to use "Eyes of the Mind" and either switch to another mode or toggle with F10 in the current version while using the power.

Wrt to your suggestion, I think it a good idea if the game switches the minimap to fullscreen while using these "revealing" powers(this would include item/monster detection wands and scrolls).

Well, using NotEye you actually can look around but the monsters are not visible (only on the minimap). The message buffer isn't full, if you press "SPACE" the game returns to normal gameplay.

Yes, switching to ASCII mode is always possible, but I think the monsters should be visible in tile mode too.
