Time passage issues?
Multiple consequences of changing how time passes in adom.

Personally I have noticed a few things that are different due to the new way that adom treats the way that time passes. You can get hit and proceed to bleed, and bleed, and bleed, and the blood loss stops before it's even your turn. Other times bleeding can last more than one turn and possibly for quite a while if you leave it. This isn't so bad for bleeding to work this way but it made me think about something else.

In the ice queen domain during the fire and ice fight the fire army seems to always die before reaching the ice army now. Where there was a slim chance that they could come out on top, there is now no chance that they can defeat them as they often flee right as they're getting close and then proceed to die while running away. I have a feeling it was not intended for all of them to die before engaging in combat.

These are the only problems I can think of right now but there could be more. Is anyone else experiencing problems that they believe are related?

Yes, now when I get confused by a doppelgänger I often recover before its my turn. I also noticed the bleeding issue when it killed my last character.

Confirming the ice queen issue.

EDIT: Confirming also the confusion ending before the end of first turn, with the gibbering mouther confusion attack. I didn't have any confusion resistance.

Also confirming the IQD issue.

I have fixed the first part of the bug report: the battle in the ice queen domain ending much too quickly. Actually this was not a timing problem but yet another bug in elemental damage handling that caused environmental damage to be much higher than intended. This part already is fixed. I'm now looking into the confusion and bleeding parts.

I now have fixed the second part of the bug report... timing issues with bleeding, confusion and stuff. This actually was a consequence of the new event based timing system as the internal order of things has changed and things like bleeding and confusion suddenly were processed before the player acted - which might cause those things to end without ever affecting the PC.

In R69, the battle in IQD still ends before the fire and ice creatures even meet.

EDIT: Argh, never mind, I continued my game with another computer which was still running R66. It's fine in R69. :)
