[RFE] Make message buffer persistent across sessions

Often when I come back to a character after a few days or weeks away from the game, I'll have only a vague memory of what was going on in the game -- what had happened recently, whether I was going up or down in the dungeon, etc. The message buffer would help to fill in some of this information, but after restoring a save it says only "up to now there were no interesting messages." It would be nice if the buffer persisted across game sessions to keep a better log of the recent game.
