Fire Drakes are not considered dragons for slaying weapons
Wyrmlance doesn't slay them.
While wielding Wyrmlance, I once met fire drake and saw no critical hit.
It's quite strange, as their name, as well as capital "D" shows they are dragons.

The monster memory description hints otherwise, but it's not clear.

It only says that this dragon is too small to be a normal dragon. But it still is.
