Just to point out, that female claw bug appears to have had no name or description since pr9. It seems it's either a bug, or the person whom submitted this monster never gave it a description or name.

In that case, this needs further testing to determine if this is indeed a bug.

It might be the case that the person who submitted it intended the monster to have no name and supplied no description, either because they wanted no description or because they thought if they didn't submit one, Thomas would write one up himself. A female claw bug is unique enough without a name - there are no naturally occurring female claw bugs in Adom IIRC. The problem is that the game generates the text "You meet the female claw bug" instead of "You meet a female claw bug". It'd be also nice for the monster to have a unique description. It'd be fun and flavorful and it would make it more evident that this unnamed boss monster is not buggy (heh), just unusual.

If, in fact, there are no other female claw bugs in ADOM, then saying "the female claw bug" is accurate.

Anyway, it does need a description, or players will tend to think that it's a program bug, rather than a claw one. :)

I'm afraid both possibilities are possible and logically defensible, so a judgement call will have to be made.

Name and description are displayed upon initially meeting other boss monsters (worked for Huckree the goblin).
