Item pickup and discovery floating text can get cut off
At the left and right edges of the screen it's possible for item pickup and discovery messages to get cut off. For example, only "the wand of magic missiles (7 charges)" might be displayed when the full message is "Picked up the wand of magic missiles (7 charges)".
