It seems to be "en vogue" in modern RL's to have the stat block to either side of the game screen, but for screen reader users, this may, depending on the ability to include/exclude certain parts of the screen from the reader updates, cause no end in frustration. ADOM had it just right - you could concentrate on the map area, and if you needed to, you could move your inactive cursor down to the bottom and check the stats. Now, every redraw of the screen may cause one bit of stat to be read out. So, since the ability to move bits of the UI around is already present, can we get an option to park stats at the bottom, ADOM style?
