I bought the game on GOG, but unfortunately can't play the latest version of it.

Around 1-2 seconds after launching the game (doesn't matter if it's done from the shortcut or the galaxy launcher) the game screen freezes and becomes unresponsive. A few seconds later the adom.exe process is listed as unresponsive in the task manager and I need to kill it (waiting for it to bounce back doesn't work even after 15 minutes of waiting). The music is playing normally in the background. The same happens if the game launches in ASCII mode.

Version: 3.3.4.1 and 3.3.4
OS: Windows 10 Home

No antivirus, firewall doesn't interfere either. No adom.err file.

Reverting back to 3.3.3 fixes the issue (I wouldn't consider this a proper fix though...).
