There is a bug in the customized game settings that occurs if you generate a character after going to an empty restore old game menu. It will create a character with the following custom game settings automatically defaulted: Corruption Off, Hunger Off, Monster difficulty Low, Treasure rate Low.

This does not occur if there is a character saved in the restore old game menu. You can safely back out to the main menu then generate a character with no custom game settings.

The workaround is to just go in the custom game menu ! then hit c, h, t and m once each to restore the normal defaults with 100% score rating.
