Merchants: let weaker classes start with a girdle of greed.

I was just thinking about how merchants have a pretty rough time, especially the classes that don't have great starting values. Without directly raising their power, I was thinking that starting them with girdles of greed would be a nice flavor improvement, while at the same time helping mitigate the weight of the starting gold/gold that accrues before Dwarftown/HMV.

Gold is very light. You're unlikely to get more than 10000 gold before Dwarftown unless you do all the Arena fights or take all of the money talents. This is only like 100s anyway.

For flavour purposes, I'd say if anything a money belt makes more sense as a starting item for merchants, though it is an equally useless item.

Basically what JS said. This would not improve merchants or any other weaker class at all, and it's way better to stash your gold now anyway. (money belt is actually somewhat useful item, now).
