I was unfortunate enough to put on the (autocursing) gauntlets of peace. No problem - just use my scroll of uncursing and - Oh, they still won't come off. The item status changes to "blessed" after the scoll was read, but when I attempted to remove the gauntlets, it just said that I unable to remove them and the item status went straight back to cursed. I tried dipping them in holy water, but the same thing happened. I had previously removed armour and weapons that were cursed, so I'm guessing that this only seems to affect autocursing items.
