Wishing for Mindcrafting gives you Woodcrafting (a reference to Minecraft)!
I always assumed this was a feature, considering they're some of the most sought after skills.
As it has turned out on previous occasions, it's good practice to question and check these things rather than assume. And I'd stand by that even if I turned out to be wrong on this occasion. I also think (time-permitting) that it would help avoid the 'trojan-bug' that gets accepted as a feature if Thomas kept a bit more of a finger on the pulse, so to speak... dip into the community every so often, and perhaps above all, see what people are writing on the wiki, as it is fairly revealing (and influencing) on what the accepted perception of the game is.
Also if it is a bug, it should be perhaps considered (briefly, then discarded, LOL) being adopted as a feature instead, since it DOES affect some people's choices on the class selection screen. :) Having alertness particularly is seen as a big deal on the races that have it.

I think there is an important reason why this shouldn't be considered as a feature, which is that it is inconsistent. If an unspoiled player discovers that skills can be wished for, they will expect all skills to be wishable. Finding out that some skills are and some other aren't (and you waste your wish in something unexpected) will be very confusing.
