I only got into ADOM a couple years ago around 2018 and prefered the graphical interface as it made playing more intuitive. I never finished the game (leveled into the 20s maybe?), and soon stopped playing. I only had occasional crashes on that computer, which was an iMac circa 2009 running El Capitan 10.11.6. I now am using different old hardware (3,1 Mac Pro), also running 10.11.6 as a dual boot. I really was looking forward to trying ADOM again, this time in a more comfortable computer location.

But to my dismay I created a character, got maybe 100 commands in, just getting bearings again, and it crashed without warning or error message. And now if I create a new character it crashes much sooner, like after 10-20 commands - completely randomly as far as I can tell. It's completely unplayable for me, very sad. There is no adom.err file in the adom_data folder, and I'm not sure if any of the adom.log files are relevant. I'm sharing my Mac logs in the hope that something can be done.

Of the 7 crashes, one had a different error. Below are three versions of the Mac error log starting with the recurring error which happened 5 times:
