Improve tile mode performance
Seems tile mode is choppy for some players

One of the threads for reference:

http://steamcommunity.com/app/333300...2768628196719/

NOTEye can slow down especially in fullscreen when there are lots of tiles to render/update/animate. If you run into performance issues please post your OS and system specs here.
Lets see how big this problem really is and look for some possible solutions :)

I just want to say that the game lags for me as well on the animated forest, greater vaults, and D:50. It also lags in fire and ice battle in iqd for the first few turns while everything is still alive and the berserker prince level, although the iqd level lag less so than the other instances i mentioned.

Windows 10 64-bit
AMD Radeon RX 480 Graphics
quad intel core i5 6600k 3.5 ghz
16 gb ram
1920 x 1080 Dell E2414H

Hope this helps?

I have fixed the issues that involved ADOM's internal code structure. See this ticket for details: http://www.adom.de/forums/project.php?issueid=4418

We'll leave this ticket open until we have more optimizations for the graphics code in place.

Unfortunately R69 seems no better. 20-30 fps (closer to 20 most of the time), choppy, 100% CPU usage.

It's not game-breaking on my rig, just annoying - but I'd imagine it could be worse for people with weaker CPUs.

This CPU usage issue is bothering me as well. Even Quake IV eats up 10% CPU of my Core i7 and only in extreme cases. ADOM with NotEye uses one core at 100℅ all the time.

We've done a lot of optimizations in R70 and R72 (see issue 2594), so I'm closing this issue.
