It appears to be impossible to die of sickness on the wilderness map. Attached a new save file "Sick_Man" that gets reduced to massive negative HP values by sickness but still doesn't die.
Isn't this a variation of not dying due to regeneration? I would imagine that sickeness kicks to zero and then natural regen kicks in, since for it each turn on wilderness counts as 30ish...

I don't think so. Sickness will push you into negative HP, and a mist elf without the healing skill shouldn't be able to recover that much (i.e. more than 1) even in the wilderness.
