R67 Change 'Reloadable games' save behavior back to match R64 'Story mode'
The save mechanics in R67 'Reloadable games' disrupt gameplay
In R64 selecting 'Story Mode' would allow player to save at any time without interrupting gameplay. Two prompts were generated: "Would you like to save? Y/n" default YES, and then "Would you like to stop playing? y/N" default NO. This allowed to save at selected points (before entering dangerous dungeon branch, before offending water dragon, etc) and then continue playing.
New behavior in R67 is a regression to old save mechanics: save is only created if you quit to menu. Due to this change and my habit of accepting the old inputs, I actually lost my character in progress after updating. For players who wish to utilize saves and play (as the game setup describes) "more like a regular RPG" this forced interruption of going to menu in order to actually create a save is nothing but irritation.
Please either add a third option 'Story Mode: save at any time without quitting' or adjust behavior back to R64 to make save-friendly mode actually save-friendly for players who have explicitly chosen this option.
