+1 on the UD - it's where you're actually starting to get attached to a character and, generally, that is the place that will make or break you. Lots of great things to find in the UD, and with a...
Apparently, if you sacrifice Keethrax, he doesn't drop the torc, guys. :-(
Also, hihi ADOM forums, I missed you! My friend is completing his first ultra soon and it made me want to play again. <3
Yes, it's a grey elf wizard. Yes, I know it's easy mode. (It was, in fact, ridiculously so - after doing the ultra last year this was a cakewalk.)
But, yay! I won!
...
Augh, scratch that, pools hate me. Doom doom doom agh. =(
...but holy crap, the "You hit the troll king and execute him!" message that I just got made me laugh rather a lot.
(I've never had Executor before, you see, and my level 16 wizard with Lightning...
@Sradac:
Yes, you do. When the messages are reading "the invisible -foo- -bar-'s!", then you're getting the invisibility bonus, even if you can see it anyway.

The blessed shining long sword is really the shining long sword
"Calvin's Might" (+6, 2d6+2) [Wi+5]...
Unfortunately, the only way to remove trapped armor is item destruction.
If you remove and drop all other stuff and read a scroll of item destruction, that should do it.
Well, yes, there's stuff of jelly slaying, but I wonder if there's anything that is, say, a Demon Jelly.
JellySlayer's name makes me wonder if anything is a jelly in addition to its other types.
Whoops. I always forget about that because I usually have +SeeI installed from pool-sipping by then. >_>;;
Okay, being able to bonk into invisible Khelavaster is just stupid. Like, seriously, wtf.
Did the Creator just figure that everyone would be able to see invisible things by that point?
ARGH. I hate it when that shit happens. It is the saddest thing perhaps ever. :-(
Considering that you're deciding on the rules of the challenge game yourself, you should decide for yourself which parts of this make sense and which don't. Many people play it that you can deal with...
I think he means that that's the amount of damage he'd have to deal to himself to get back up to L+ from where he is in total, i.e. whip for several hundred, heal up, repeat until L+.
One of the things I love about this game is the caliber of people that play it. You don't see statistical discussion like that in most games, that's for sure (and certainly not over something as...
I'm in for "no server", but like Epythic I might not always be able to play. Damn undergraduate curriculum taking up all my free time for ADOM...
It seems that a hit must always deal at least one point of damage, then! Interesting!
Well, yes, but I was implying that you should hit the j's with the ring. Wield, not wear. :-)
That said, if you're wielding the ring you probably get -Acid anyway, don't you?
Picking locks gets you a small amount of experience, iirc. It came up a while back in a discussion on how to play the game as a pacifist.
Your PC probably has to be paying enough attention to get messages like that, no? Pe and Listening should help with that.
(I hope nobody actually puts increases in Listening just because someone...
Hm. Probably not, I would imagine.
Someone should try wielding a ring of acid resistance against some j's and see what goes down.
Oh! I completely missed the fact that they were named after the hitokiri, i.e. the great man-slayers of the Bakumatsu. My mistake, carry on. :-)
The difference is that "ansatsusha" means "one who...
I like "暗殺者" (ansatsusha) for "assassin" better than "人きり" (hitokiri). "Ansatsusha" is a lot more elegant, in my opinion. :-)
