Yes sometimes you get some bullshit deaths but it's really not that hard of a game once you learn how things work.
Sounds like a boss monster, which is an upgraded version of a regular monster that may have special abilities or drops.
Anyone know whether the lever bug in r50 is present in the ASCII version too?
My tolerance for crafting was much higher when I was younger, before I learned to hate anything resembling grinding in games.
I'm not really sure since I don't care about crafting and don't really want to see it become necessary for optimal play, and that seems get rid of the more obvious additions like making jewelry or...
The icon looks great, that's almost EXACTLY what I what I had in my head when I suggested it.
The wiki is quite slow to be updated as well so there isn't a good information source on recent changes that I'm aware of, other than digging through forum posts.
It's a super annoying area I dread having to deal with, especially multiple times. I wish there was some kind of shortcut opened up after you've passed through it once, maybe back to DT after...
Considerably narrowing missile variety seems to be the best and easiest solution.
Oh, I didn't know the wiki was that old. I had assumed it was created sometime in the past year or two.
It's a little weird how the wiki seems to assume everyone is playing 1.1.1 still. There are numerous references to tactics that simply don't work anymore.
Nothing is forcing you to use autoexplore if you dislike it for whatever reason. To me it's an option that reduces the time spent between interesting decisions.
I don't really feel the situation...
ADOM has dungeons that fit on one screen but there are so many of them the effect is similar and boredom is the result at times. It's probably too late to remove tedium/grinding from ADOM but I...
I'd also like to see autopickup of thrown missiles at least, and hopefully autoexplore as well. There aren't always strategic decisions to be made.
It was probably generated cursed. B/U/C status affects how fast corpses rot.
I had a Troll Berserker die due to my own boredom a few days ago. I wasn't high enough level to enter the Pyramid and I was having problems in the Graveyard so I got bored and ended up dying to...
I had a feeling the ADOM Lite RPG would end up being a problem, physical rewards are frequently a drain on crowdfunding projects.
Any idea when the new quests and finished statues are going to go in jt? It's been a while since any non bug-related gameplay stuff has gone in.
GOG and Desura would be likely bets if not Steam.
I think the OP hits on an interesting point: the feedback during the resurrection campaign was an echo chamber of people that were already invested in the status quo and not much thought was given to...
I'm worried they won't be be interesting to play, since their class powers are just a bunch of random bonuses that change from round to round.
Should have done the honorable thing and committed seppaku.
I'm not sure what challenge games are worth doing at this point. I think the guy that killed Andor Drakon at level 1 pretty much took the fun out of it.
I think you're the only person worrying JADE will be pushed out too early. :) We've been waiting years at this point.
