Try to teleport out from the test fight and speak to arena master again. Should be quite hilarious too.
Are you playing 1.1.1? Thundaar's quest is perfectly fine and fixed already in latest prereleases.
It is amazing indeed. Pools are wonderful source of wishes, -death and -para for the most characters. Some players, however, die from them for some reason. I dont know why.

They are low-level monsters, and they relatively quickly fade into non-existance with goblins, orcs and rats together.
It was most likely caused by greatly increased number of monsters in p21-p22, and thus greatly increased amount of drop. We should wait until p23 and check things there before making any conclusions...

Why do you have +to-hit, +damage and -dv when on Berserk tactics?

Yes, there are a lot more monsters at lower levels. Well, everywhere actually. Not a bad change, imho.
Summoners are more dangerous now. Also, do not try to pickpocket them - it greatly increases monster stats now if you fail couple of times.

I'd rather have more gradual monster distribution like in my RFE. If this stays, DH should be lowered from DL 40/DL 45 to DL 30/DL 35 or even DL 25/DL 30 to be even remotely beatable for average...
I've even warned everyone about incoming ChAoS there (http://www.adom.de/forums/project.php?issueid=2603). All lower CoC levels would be like this in pre21, imagine that.
