I completely disagree if you are using the right weapons. If you have two weapon combat skill and use a low energy weapon like knives - like I do - it can be worth it. Especially if you get a wish...

If you use scrolls of danger does it also increase the corruption rate of that level by the corresponding danger level increase?

You can also die by wearing an amulet of order while chaotic or vice versa. If the damage done by doing so is greater then your regeneration rate it will eventually kill you if you don't take it off....

You can try to get a few pets and have them wear him down and then kill him off yourself. Could be tricky though.

Of course not sure why you would not want to be able to get the courage skill..
