So there you go! Yours Truly, Elone the Longwinded.

P.S. More rant! It's funny how you people call us drawers!
Eek! That's one really flat drawing. You've gotta learn some construction so you can make your drawings more three-dimensional. If you just start drawing without any planning, the end result will be... not good.

First you have to start with the basic shape, and use construction lines (shown as red here) that wrap around the head. These lines are to aid placing features on the head, such as the eyes and the nose. (I drew them after drawing the construction lines, so that first drawing is actually the second step.) Make sure that everything looks three-dimensional and convincing.

After drawing the rough head you can start adding details, finetuning the shapes, shading etc. Still make sure that the features wrap around the head logically.

The structure of bones and muscles beneath the skin affects what we see on the surface. Look, for example, how the eyelids wrap around the eyeball.

You hit Andor Drakon, the ElDeR cHaOs GoD, and severely wound him.
The greater balor summons some help!
The ratling duelist disarms you. You drop your blessed Trident of the Red Rooster (+36, 6d12+18) [+12, +12]. It flies to the west.

Dude, take a short look at the other art in this thread. Is the reason you're giving advice to Elone that she's the only one with enough talent to draw something that is not stick figures or ASCII characters?
ADOM Guides - whatever you wanted to know about playing a certain class, but have been afraid to ask!

Check out my youtube channel to see my ADOM videos, including a completed playthrough of the game. I try to give instructions, so if you want to see some place you haven't been before and get some hints on how to deal with it, this might help! There's also some other games featured there that you might find interesting.

Well, she is the only one who made a serious attempt at art. :P Even the two I did were just quick doodles.

EDIT:Yisk made a more advanced drawing, too, but there's nothing wrong with his drawing as far as I can see.

I see some flirting in the near future!
When in darkness, you can always see the light (unless you're in ADOM)

Most successful combos for me: Grey elf wizards, trollish healers, dark elf beast-fighters, Gnomey monks, and any race barbarians.

Laukku is a funny fellow. I support you two and you have my blessing. It's decided.

    When is the ceremony?

This forum has too many flame wars, and too little (read: none (except gut+Grey)) romances! We need to spice things up here!

i prefer prime's work here, personnally. they look as a mixture of ASCII, of stikma and of rela drawing. Which is great.
Haven't won with : Druid, Priest, Elementalist, Weaponsmith, Ranger, Merchants, farmers, Necromancer,Thief
Currently trying : Entertaining girlfriend. Very, Very, VERY hard.

    Just a silly online game
