Goddamn Mana Temple...

The mana temple without confusion resistence is a very bad idea. So I arrived at the mana temple, pretty strong and had everything I need EXCEPT confusion resistence. I was feeling pretty powerful so thought I'd give it a try anyway. I opened the temple and started clearing out the monsters, until that damn archmage started confusing me and I ended up in the corridor, to the south of the temple entrance, i.e trapped between a rock and a greater chaos servant. Read a scroll of darkness and started killing while being confused every few turns. After around 40 minutes of killing I sort of stopped paying attention to the text and just kept hitting attack until "you are hit by a painful stream of energy, you die"

It was a stupid death because I was down to around 130hp and could have healed/prayed. Well, once again over confidence destroys me...

You can avoid most of his attempts to meddle with your mind by
standing like this in the corridor:

If you fight like this, he has to stand on a line that is below the
secret door's line to have a shot at confusing you, and has to
be closer. Also, equipping the Water orb should help ward off
some of the confusion. Higher wi = higher confusion resistance,
even without the resistance ability itself.

His spells also only work at 2/3 power if you fight him on Silvernight.

Yeah, I hate it when I get stuck in the molybdenum temple, or
any of the other elemental temples.
