Nice job, although I'll probably still use the automatic answer system for most of my games.

It has already been done sub-optimally.
> I'd use the Find/Highlight feature of Firefox
>>"find" the key word of the question to find rapidly
I have already done things these ways. They are not
optimal. Wanna test it? Give it a few tries. No, not
two tries, maybe twenty. Process works like this:
Step 1: See question
Step 2: Switch from ADOM to browser.
Step 3: CTRL-F(ind) keyword(s) in browser.
Step 4: Evaluate stat arrangements to see what you need for your PC.
Step 5: Switch back to ADOM and enter.
Step 6: Repeat x10
If each step takes 1 minute, you have just eaten
10 minutes of your life per roll. Which accurately
explains why everyone HATES the question system.
The worst part is, it's so cumbersome to use, it
really inhibits the whole memorization process. I
can honestly say, after one has the questions
memorized, you can zip through the questions in
under 1 minute.
> C) Why did you choose brown for melee?
Beastfighters and barbarians are brown. I could switch
to light brown, but that's something that is easily
corrected later.
> It could be argued that your colouring is a sort of improveme
Yeah, that's the main thing, to make the answers quickly
identifiable. Only thing I hadn't planned for is the 10K
limit. Maybe I'll stick a copy on a webhost when I'm finished.

The info is in Andy Williams GB:
"0.14.15 The opening question system
List courtesy of Raymond Martineau."
He has said in the past that no code dived
info is in the GB, but it seems like it almost
has to be to me as well.
"Whip me!" pleads the adom player. The rng replies... "No."
I think the question system would be way cooler, and more used if it affected more things like alignment, starting equipment/money, and well... I guess thats it.
After having randomly rolled my stats for god knows how long, I decided to give questions a try.
Picked all the Le+ answers.
"Fool! You think you can trick the RNG with your code dived ignorance?!?"
My dark elven necromancer starts with a Learning stat of 12...
Yep, this is the reason I don't use question system. Maybe I'm unlucky but about 4 times I tried to get uber-learning (or uber-perception - just for some forgotten reason) I ended with some shit. It even gave me the idea that game uses some mechanics to cope with question system..

I don't think the game cares for one pumping stats via
questions.I have experienced similar results though, for
dark elven necros. This is further reason why Idisbelieve
the race stats posted in the GB and IGB. I have no proof
though, other than the gazillions of wizards that I've
rolled. Pumping Le usually results in a 5 point gain or
more for them.
I've actually abandoned this list before completing it.
Sorry, but my enthusiasm just waned. Don't really think
it was that useful anyway

You gotten the responses to question 50 mixed up. How many others are wrong, I wonder? Typical gut, utterly unreliable...

About the dark elf necro problem: I had a similar experience when trying to create a troll barbarian with exceptional strength and toughness. It did not work.
I think the problem is that some (already low) stats would be pushed too low by extreme modifiers. For example, a troll barb with learning score of 3 and getting -5 learning from questions won't work, so it's to be expected that something will go wrong. With the dark elf necro, I think it has to do with ap and especially cha being pushed too low.
As a test, I created just 10 drakeling beastfighters (no dragon starsign) with randomly modded stats. Str and To both averaged at about 20, with lowest value 16 and highest 23.
Next, created two new drakeling beastfighters, enabled questions, consistently maxed str and to. Values were in the 24-25 range both times. My theory is that those questions do have merits after all, but only for race / class combos that do not have some extremely low natural stats.
