stat training with Garth?

i know i already made a topic for this and cant find it again, is there and easy formula to figure out how much to spend? lets say i want to go from 50-55? how much does that cost me? thanx alot

http://www.adomgb.info/adomgb-toc.html has a table of what to pay, but if you ask me the improved guidebook has a, well, improved table for it. It lists the exact amount to pay in order to get a 100% chance for an increase. And incase you're paranoid about clicking links, the formula:
The formula for how much to pay is $100 ? stat value, doubled once for each 5 points over 15.

I thought the optimal way was to get to casino, gamble all through the night (IRL), and then just pay him enough (never done this and probably never will, but I think it would work)

The optimal method is to realize that if you've got 50 in a stat, you don't need any more in fact 40 was already enough you greedy sod

Easiest way is, just before you train, to starve your stats down to about half their current values. Then you generally won't need more than 10k to raise any given stat (doesn't work for To, but you can use sickness if you want to lower it a bit).

well thats with items and stuff, i cant beat this game for shit so im just trying to raise my stats, the formula doesnt make any sense for me for some reason lol

if you're feeling scummy, you can always use dragon gold doubling to get gold to pay Garth.
