    Default Cooking corner (56k warning)

Since I love cooking and I always end up making the same dishes all the time, I thought I'd start a cooking thread here to share recipes and pictures of our food. Personally I think the idea is -hawsome. So I guess I'll start with todays cooking.

    Meatballs

    Ingredients 1 person:
    • 200g ground beef
    • 2 dl cream
    • 2 medium sized potatoes
    • Soy
    • 1 stock cube
    • Salt
    • White peppar
    • 1 egg
    • 1 onion
    • Breadcrumbs

Started by chopping up the onion in two halves, chopped one in "small" bits. They should be smaller but I like chunks so here we go.

After that, fry the onion and start boiling potatoes. That looks something like this.

Now the interesting things start, mix ground beef, the egg, breadcrumbs, salt n peppa and fried onion. Make sure you blend the breadcrumbs with a very small amount of water. First mix everything else except onions then put on the onions at last because otherwise the egg might cook itself a bit due to the heat from the onions. Taste the mix to make sure there is enough salt n peppa.

There it is! The nice mix.

Chop up the rest of the onion and roll your balls. Protip: wet your hands when you roll the meatballs, they stick much less to your hands and fingers then. Yummy yummy.

Now, fry the living hell out of those bastards!

When theyre done, put them on your plate. Then pour cream on the fryingpan, add the stock cube and some soy, the gravy is done when the stock cube has melted.

Serve with pickled cucumbers and lingonberry jam. Enjoy!

I really do like how the ciggarets are truly 'oh by the way' in the background there. R?kningar d?dar. Smoking kills.

I noticed that now haha. Just don't think about them. I smoke under the fan so they're always next to the stove.

    Eww, cigarette flavored meatballs.

I got one, and really simple. Just add ice cream (any flavor, but vanilla or chocolate is best), milk, coffee (brewed or instant), and cinnamon. Mix in a cup and add whipped cream if desired. Viola! A Starbuck sytle drink!

Most successful combos for me: Grey elf wizards, trollish healers, dark elf beast-fighters, Gnomey monks, and any race barbarians.

    Lazy man's rice crispy treat.

Yes, I do believe I invented this lazy method myself : )
I think it's better than the traditional way, as treats are
much better when hot, so it makes sense to make small
    batches.

    1 tblsp butter
    2 marshmellows
    1 cup rice crispies cereal

Heat butter for ~15 seconds in microwave.
Add marshmellows and heat for ~15 seconds,
it is natural for them to swell as they heat.
Stir mixture into, um, goop. if it won't mix
well, just heat for ~10 more seconds and mix
again. Microwave power varies a lot, so it is
hard to give certain time units. Also, you may
want different proportions of 'goop' to cereal
than what I list. You will get a feel for it with
a few tries. Stir cereal in well and eat while
hot. Repeat 40 or 50 times a day until you are
    completely burned out on them.

Great, now I'm wanting them again.

That seems like a really nice snack. I have to do that when I buy a microwave (I've been meaning to buy one for ~1 year but never get my ass out of the sofa and do it).
