    Yeah, I know I had safer options
    I just love magic missile in such situations though... bouncing missiles are fun, IF you avoid typos.

    If you go into the MM, then you deserve whatever you get.....

    Yeah well, I want that cow axe. Just once.

    Unfortunately, it seems that PCs which could actually use the damn thing are most likely to massively struggle getting it, whereas even PCs which should find the MM a relative cakewalk die horrendous or stupid deaths there - I quit on a wizard in there once, many many moons ago, and vowed never to return. But I want that axe.

    I should really try to make a two-hander wielding melee-based PC which can clear the bug temple at level 26-28, and just abuse the hell out of top traps calculations. Unfortunately, I am insanely paranoid scared about the bug temple . Maybe a bard? But I suck at bards. Barbarians don't need the axe though, cos they have Executor or Vanquisher... A dwarven fighter? Seems like a good PC for wielding an impossibly huge axe.

    I have the same obsession now whilst playing my 29 level dwarven assassin. The extra criticals from class power combined with the extra criticals from the axe would be pure liquid awesomeness. But on the other hand, I already have The Far Slayer (minimal ammo though at this point) so my eterniuim spear is looking pretty good. Entering into the mazes could ruin my promising ultra-candidate. But I still want it! . Be prepared for my first YASD post very very soon.

    If you understand how to calculate top trap type, it makes the maze so much easier. Make sure to have some form of confusion resistance to combat the minotaur mages. Also, some disable on the emperor himself would be highly recommended.

    Use a thief. They own the maze. Preferably a thief level >25 with find weakness installed.

    Minotaur mages are apparently unusually weak against stun ray, if you didn't know...
